HAIDER Is Holding Tough Against Tough Opposition

Today is unarguably the biggest clash at box office of 2014. Two films, of diverse genre and for different target audience, are clashing at box office. ''Haider'' is underdog as everyone is expecting Hrithik starrer ''Bang Bang'' to bulldoze its not so fancy rival. 

''Haider'' released across 1250-1300 screens in India today and film has taken few key single screens in metros. Film is very dark and has appeal only for niche audience. Plus its budget is also less than 30 cr so even decent business of 45-50 cr will not be bad result.

Film has taken a quite promising start at few places. Film is holding well in Bangalore, Mysore, Mumbai and Pune. Film is not bad in Rajasthan, East Punjab and West Bengal. Film is suffering badly due to competition in mass belts. Overall opening is in the range of 50-55%.

As per early trends, film should aim total of 7-7.50 cr nett on day one which will be a good result against such a big opponent. Film can chase 8 cr nett too if evening shows hold well in few pockets. We will be back with latest updates late night.
